September 26, 2017, Lianyungang, China, International Port and Shipping Development Forum was held in the frame of the 4th China International Logistics LYG Expo. The exhibition was organized by China International Chamber of Commerce, the relevant departments of Jiangsu Province, Lianyungang Municipal People’s Government and LYG Port Holdings Group.
Within the framework of the forum, issues of current and future cooperation, exchange of the experience, business operations and joint development of logistics along the Belt and Road Initiative were discussed. The International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” also took part in the forum, and presented the current infrastructure opportunities and development prospects of TITR (Middle Corridor) to the forum participants.
“Caspian transit hub of Kazakhstan: “One Belt, One Road”, technical capacity of Kazakh ports was presented by Abay Turikpenbayev, president of JSC “NC “Aktau international sea commercial port”.
On the next day, 27th of September, an agreement on strategic cooperation was signed between Lianyungang Port and the International association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route”. The parties noted the high importance of establishing bilateral relations, and agreed together expand international market of TITR (Middle Corridor), creating favorable conditions for it.
